There are a number of stunning Tourist Drives in the Kyogle area - from half to full day options.  'Uralba' is located on one of Kyogle's scenic drives.

WORLD HERITAGE NATIONAL PARKS

Uralba Eco Cottages is located in the foothills of the McPherson Range, overlooking the stunning Border Ranges National Park.  Other World Heritage areas nearby include Mt Warning (Wollumbim) and Nightcap Range National Parks.   You can take a walk, take a picnic, see beautiful views and sites of cultural and historical significance, visit a waterfall, or take a swim at Hanging Rock falls only 20 mins away.

quaint country towns and VILLAGES 

Many guests enjoy visiting local towns and villages in the area.  Kyogle (an old timber town) is only 15 km, or visit the always effervescent and colourful Nimbin.  Other places of interest include LismoreCawongla and Uki.

COOL LOCAL MARKETS and LOCAL Festivities

Renowned for fantasic local markets, there's a market for everyone.  There are farmers' markets, trash and treasure and art markets every weekend.  Come and visit during October and attend the Kyogle Show, a traditional country show which has been running for more than100 years.  See the Kyogle Fairymount Festival in November, or the famous Nimbin Mardigrass which is held in May each year.   A full list of local attractions will be available in your Cottage during your stay.

Australia's biggest festivals

The north-east coast of NSW is also home to some of Australia's biggest music festivals. The region is a music lovers' paradise with many musicians tracing their roots to this area. Falls Festival brings in the New Years, Blues Fest celebrates the Easter holidays and the famous Splendor in the Grass is big bold and beautiful every winter holidays.

'Uralba' is105 km from the lively tourist capital; Byron Bay making it the perfect place for a day trip.  If you like to avoid the hustle and bustle of Byron, there are beaches north and south along the coast, equally as beautiful, just with a few less people.
